How to Prepare the Formula
Prepare every bottle exactly as directed on the physical tin.
- Wash your hands before preparing the feed.
- Clean and sterilise bottles, teats and other feeding equipment. Bellamy’s advises boiling the equipment for 5 minutes or using an approved steriliser.
- Boil safe drinking water and allow it to cool to feeding temperature.
- Pour the required amount of cooled boiled water into a sterilised bottle.
- Use only the scoop supplied inside the tin. Keep the scoop clean and dry.
- Add one level scoop of powder for every 60mL of water.
- Close the bottle and shake or swirl until the powder dissolves.
- Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
- Prepare each feed individually and use it immediately whenever possible.
- Discard any unfinished formula left after feeding.
Never add extra powder, extra water, cereal, sugar or other ingredients. Do not change the mixing ratio unless a doctor tells you to do so.
